A very busy morning at the yard this morning and a busy day ahead!

Today we run three horses at Southwell. Southwell Racecourse has been kind to us recently and lets hope we can get a winner or two again…

We run ASK HENRY in the 2:00 Novices Hurdle. Ask Henry is a nice horse who won on his last start at the end of last season, he won by over 80 lengths, however the race fell apart and was almost a walk-over. He should appreciate todays surface and we’ll be hopeful he can run well, Tom Bellamy rides.

Next we have STYNES in the 3:00 Foxtrot Racing Handicap Hurdle, STYNES has been a great servant to the yard over the years and he’s a real yard favourite. He’s quite fragile horse and has had his problems but we feel like he’s well and is entitled to run well. Lilly Pinchin takes the ride, her first ride as a conditional jockey. Best of luck to Lilly and Stynes’ group of enthusiastic owners.

At 3:30 we run THE DISTANT LADY in the Handicap Hurdle, she won very well last the track recently really enjoying the trip and the fixed brush hurdles. She is carrying a 7lb penalty today for her success but is still effectively well treated. She will hopefully provide a good day for her owners. Tom Bellamy once again takes the ride.

We have been in Doncaster over the past few days buying new, exciting horses. We have four new horses in the yard, all 3yo’s. A stunning chesnut gelding by Malians, a well related bay gelding by Blue Bresil, a chesnut gelding by Fracas and a bay filly by Soldier of Fortune. All are for sale, please contact us right away for more information. We will be photographing them today and they will appear on the Horses For Sale page before too long!

Here are some photos from this morning, enjoy the sunshine!
