Monday morning and fresh, happy horses.

A very wet weekend…

Sadly Stratford has been abandoned so our intended runners will have to wait for targets further down the line. It was the first intended target for NEW ZEALANDER, our winter racing club horse. We’ve had plenty of interest in the Winter Racing Club this season which is really great to see, there are a couple of spaces still available so if you’re still thinking of joining now is the time! Fill in the application form HERE.

Another intended runner today was ALEXANDER THE GREY, he is starting to lose his beloved good ground, hopefully we can still find a race for him this summer with ideal conditions.

It could be a fairly quiet week in terms of runners, although we will try to run recent winner EYEOFTHESCORPION again. We also have a race in mind at Newton Abbot for SAMMYLOU.

The Arc De Triumph was not exactly a vintage renewal yesterday, heavy ground and the absence of all of the O’Brien runners made for a depleted field. All hopes were pinned on Enable but it was not meant to be, it could be her last race, a super mare win loose or draw. The race was fun at a very slow pace and it turned Into a messy sprint finish.

Here are some pictures from this morning…
