And just when you think summer is here… an exceptionally wet week. The rain at Worcester did not help our runners last night.

This week has been all about the sales, Goffs Doncaster sales is a highlight every year, dreams are intact and we try try find future champions. The first two days offer 3yo unraced stores and the final two days are full of horses with point to point form and form under rules. We came away with five stunning new recruits!

We bought lots…26, 107, 233, 277 and 336 four of them are for sale, please contact us to find out more about the horses and to organise coming to see them if you’re interested.

Lot 277, a beautiful filly by Beat Hollow (the sire of this years Gold Cup winner Minella Indo) was purchased by BDR Syndicates. There are shares available in her and we’d suggest you check her out, she could be very good value!

Lot 107, a Malinas Gelding had a bit of a boost yesterday when his half sibling, Present Road, won a maiden in Ireland at 40/1!

More photos of them will appear on the Horses For Sale page in the coming weeks!

Onto our recent runners and a few worth noting… GETTHEPOT and POP THE CHAMPAGNE both finished 2nd at Southwell and showed lots of promise. Getthepot was beaten by a horse that looks very well handicapped, he jumped well and again ran with credit. Pop The Champagne has been ultra consistent in bumpers and again ran her heart out. She was probably the eye catcher in the race and just had a little too much to do on turn for home.

HOMING STAR ran well at Wolverhampton earlier in the week finishing 5th beaten 3Ls. She was ridden by our amateur jockey Bradley Roberts. A similar race in a few weeks and hopefully she can get her head in front this summer.

Next week might be a little quieter in terms of runners. ALEXANDER THE GREY should be out again. All this rain certainly won’t help our summer team!

Our conditional Jockey Lilly Pinchin continues her recovery. Oakley House is a brilliant facility for Jockeys, it’s really so important.

We recently announced the retirement of a yard legend. Follow The Swallow has run his last race. He was a brilliant servant and a popular horse, a long and happy retirement for lovely Swallow, he deserves it!

Tonight the Eurovison Song Contest takes place… there are plenty of singers in the yard, every morning the yard is full of budding singers, especially Mick Finn…Wales produces many good singers!

No runners this weekend… Have a brilliant weekend!
