Another quiet week in terms of runners, but another winner to add to the tally!

EXPLOITEUR ran a very pleasing race at Ffos Las in his 2nd start in a handicap. The form of his Bangor race looked strong when the winner, Mint Condition, came out and won again. Exploiteur is a big horse and last season was on the weak side, he has summered really and is a different horse this season. He travelled into the race and handled the testing ground. Kielan and ‘Dessie’ joined Sirop De Menthe two from home, that horse then took a crashing fall and Exploiteur ran on well to the line to win the race by a distance. We were as delighted as anyone to see Sirop De Menthe and Lucy Gardner get to their feet, it really was a heavy fall.

A great result for SHAW Racing, a great syndicate that are a pleasure to train for. They also have exciting novice hurdle prospect Getthepot with us!

You can watch the race replay here

It was also a very good start for our HORSES TO FOLLOW video. The first runner from the featured horses went in as a winner thanks to the shrewd judgement of Eilish who looks after Exploiteur. Congratulations to her!

We have one runner over this weekend and that is our Winter Racing Club horse, NEW ZEALANDER. He runs today in the 11:45 at Huntingdon, he is a beautifully bred son of Australia and has shown us the right signs at home. He is one that will improve with every race, at the moment he is probably still a little bit green to win a race like this but he shouldn’t be too far away. Max Kendrick takes the ride.

Lots of entries next week, you will see The Distant Lady, Londonia and Ratfacemcdougall among others to get entries. We might also see the newly named Alfoski make his racecourse debut. A really exciting horse for the future, we know Steph will be watching him!

A great weekend of racing ahead, today is Betfair Chase day. A small but select field of top class horses. Winner of the past two King Georges, Clan Des Obeaux takes of the Gold Cup third, Lostintranslation. Bristol De Mai is also in the race, a Haydock Specialist. There is also a really nice card at Ascot to look forward to!

Have a great weekend, here is some photos from this morning, stay safe!
